Table runner tutorial

May 13, 2011

Today I gathered some pieces of lace not long enough to use for my baby crafts and stitched them together, each about 40 cm. long, you can cut them longer or shorter, it will still look nice.

Lay all the strips of lace down until you are happy with the arrangement.
Place the lace, one cm. over the other and straight stitch them together,
continue till the length you need for your table, dresser or a small one for your tray.

Take measurements to see if it is still straight, if not, trim the edges.
Now choose a different trim for the sides and zigzag stitch the ends.

I gathered two layers of lace at the long ends and hid the hems with trims.
The runner will still look nice without the gathered lace.

I think I found the perfect place for it.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
